Information you choose to send
The contact forms ask for your name and either a phone number or an email address. Details about your situation, the people involved for a conflict check, county, role, dates and callback preferences are optional. The firm collects any missing conflict-check information before discussing your matter in detail. Sending a request does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not send confidential or privileged information before the firm confirms how it may receive it.
Submitted requests go to the firm through its email and internal notification services. These services process the information to deliver and manage the request. Delivery records contain a random reference, time and delivery outcome, without your narrative or contact details. To measure how the site is working, this site also keeps a record of each form inquiry and each call of a minute or longer without your name or contact details: a reference, the time, the topic of the inquiry, the county and role you gave, whether you asked for a callback, the length of a call, where the inquiry came from, whether it was delivered and the firm’s outcome. A successful submission means a delivery service accepted the request; it does not mean an attorney has reviewed it or agreed to represent you.
Phone calls
Calls are recorded and transcribed. You are told so at the start of the call. If you decline recording, the call is kept short, and only your phone number and the time and length of the call are passed on. The phone line is operated for the firm through the BizRnr platform on a telephone carrier’s network and is answered 24/7.
On the call you are asked intake questions, such as your name, a callback number, where the matter is and what happened. The service providers and the firm receive the call record: your phone number, the time and length of the call, what you say on the call, a summary of the call, and any recording or transcript. The firm receives it in its internal messaging channel and in this site’s records. This site’s copy of the call details is kept for 24 months. If you prefer not to be recorded, use the written form instead.
Text messages
The California Inheritance Law SMS program is operated by Corcoran Smith Law Corp, the law firm that publishes this website and receives your inquiry. BizRnr provides intake technology for the firm; it is not a separate messaging sender or a referral service. The automated service does not provide legal advice.
If you text a messaging-enabled CIL number after program activation, automated replies can help with intake and a callback. Your number, messages, intake answers and a conversation summary are processed through Twilio, ElevenLabs and the firm’s private BizRnr intake system. The firm receives an internal notification when the conversation is completed. Text conversations are stored separately from call measurements and are not sent to Google Analytics or Google Ads. Do not text confidential documents, payment details or privileged information. Reply STOP to stop automated replies or HELP for help; message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Consent to respond to your inquiry is not consent to unrelated marketing messages. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is specific to the California Inheritance Law program operated by Corcoran Smith Law Corp. We do not buy, rent or trade SMS subscriber lists, and we do not transfer your consent to another messaging program. Service providers process messages only to operate this program for the firm. Calling or submitting a website form does not enroll you in SMS. Registration and delivery testing must be completed before automated texting is activated; the SMS terms explain that hold.
Drafts in your browser
The full contact form and the short forms save separate drafts in this browser so you can return to them. It is not sent until you submit. A successful submission clears that form’s draft, and so does the “Clear saved draft” button that appears under a form while a draft is saved. An unsent draft is no longer restored after 30 days and is removed the next time the form loads. On a shared device, clear the draft when you finish; until it is cleared or expires, an unfinished draft may remain accessible to another user of the browser.
Website analytics and request context
When analytics is enabled, we measure introduction-video starts, viewing progress and watch time. This tab may keep the video page, a progress category and a timestamp for up to 30 minutes to understand whether a call-button tap or successful form submission follows viewing. This context contains no contact details and is cleared on opt-out. A call-button tap does not confirm that a call connected.
Google Analytics measures visits, page use and contact-button interactions. Vercel hosts the website and measures performance. Hosting providers may process network and device information needed to deliver and protect the site. The website does not send form names, email addresses, phone numbers or descriptions to Google Analytics.
Unless you opt out, this browser temporarily keeps the first page visited, the referring website's hostname and supported campaign labels. If you submit the form, this context and the page that led to it can accompany the request to help the firm understand how people find its resources. We do not copy the referring URL's query string or advertising click identifiers into the request.
After an eligible Google ad visit, Google Ads may display a forwarding telephone number to measure calls and their duration. It connects to the same advertised line. This website requests that number only when analytics consent is enabled and Global Privacy Control is off. Opting out restores the regular telephone number. Call measurement is separate from clicking a call button; the website does not send your form contact details to Google Ads.
Your choices
Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control in the footer to change analytics consent on this browser. The site also recognizes Global Privacy Control. Older browser “Do Not Track” settings are not a separate consent control here. Google and hosting services may process technical information under their own policies; see Google's privacy policy and Vercel's privacy policy.
You may choose to call instead of using the form. A callback or text preference applies to responding to your request; it is not an instruction to send marketing messages.
Access, correction and other privacy requests

The firm may need to verify your request and may have legal or professional obligations affecting what it can disclose or delete. Do not include sensitive information in an initial privacy inquiry.
